Synopsis

'Being Ben Eine' is a street art documentary exploring the graffiti roots, bold typographic murals, and urban art culture that shaped one of the UK's most legendary street artists.

"There's all these excuses that you can put in front of yourself to stop you doing stuff, and successful graffiti writers have an attitude whereby they don't listen to those things; they're like yeah jump over it, go and nick it, get it, paint it." – Ben Eine.

The film follows Eine on a journey through London and across the UK to explore his vibrant, unmistakable and often controversial artwork – and the often colourful language, genuinely genius, and inspiring personality behind it.

Globally renowned for his bold typographic murals and collaborations with artists like Banksy, Eine's creations have transformed city walls from Shoreditch and Brighton to the West Bank barrier in Palestine, adorned gallery walls across the world and even hung in the White House.

This documentary dives deep into his creative process, his roots in graffiti and street culture – and the darker chapters of his life that have shaped his creative style.
